Thank you for this. I’ll never forget hearing this song the first time: Jeff’s incomparable guitar and voice, the piano, George Harrison’s and Jeff Lynne’s backing vocals – wow, the ultimate. I went straight to the record store, bought “Hell To Pay,” and played this song over and over. It awes me today as much as it did the first time. It’s great to hear how the song came together. George singing background vocals on his own song – now, that’s class.

I had the great fortune to see Jeff in the early 90’s @ Toads Place, in New Haven, CT. It remains in my Top 10 concerts of all time. To this day, I can’t get it out of my head, it was that exceptional & the memory still vivid. Two songs he did that night were, ‘All Along The Watchtower’ & “While My Guitar Gently Weeps’. Two of the greatest covers I ever heard. It’s so sad that Jeff is gone but his music will live on forever.

Hell to Pay was the first CD I bought stepping away from the old tape player.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps was played over and over as it was my fav track on the CD, track 7, skip straight to it, now the whole album is played over and over.
It is still the best CD I have whether driving, training or having a party, never gets old,an all time classic.
Long live Jeff.
