I have loved the song since first hearing in it the movie Roadhouse. However, being from America, I knew nothing of his other works or him personally. This morning upon arriving to work, his song came on my playlist and I just Googled him. It was very disheartening to read he had passed. This caused me to listen to more of his work and I now have a larger JH playlist. My best wishes and prayers to his family and friends.

He was just starting out then. I remember everyone was wowed by this blind guy playing the guitar in his lap and wailing out the blues! Everyone there knew they had witnessed something special.

I had the pleasure of Meeting him many, many years ago. When he played at the Roadhouse in North Sacramento ,California. I was the cocktail waitress that waited on him . He had a amazing Voice, personality. You are deeply missed. But you left behind very fond memories .

He showed that he could be a huge inspiration to handi-capped children. It was a tragic loss when JH passed, however if his loss inspires more handicapped kids to reach for the stars, I’m sure he would smile down at us.
